Shine a light on me

We were approached for a project to build a better light bulb. This bulb is intended to replace the incandescent, tungsten-filamented bulb with an energy efficient, "green" and beautiful alternative. Our services were needed to make the glass portion of a complex assembly. We were reluctant, as the specs provided with the engineered drawings were very tight. Also, this project was on a very serious fast track.

After discussions with the client, we made the first prototype. It went well, and we were asked to produce about a dozen iterations as the research progressed, always on a seriously fast schedule.

We think the bulb looks great! It emits a warm and beautiful light, and we are reminded of the scope and relevance of our craft.
